About This Inductee

Ronald A. Robacker graduated from Greene Dreher Sterling High School, Newfound-land, Pa., in 1958. Ron was a three-year letter winner in basketball and baseball, and was captain of the 1958 District XII Championship Baseball Team. Ron graduated from East Stroudsburg State College in 1962. He played J.V. basketball, lettered in track and field and lettered in golf. After graduation, he was Physical Director at the YMCA in Stroudsburg, Pa. Since 1963, Ron has been employed at Delaware Valley School District. He has been Athletic Director since 1966. He has coached baseball, basketball, volleyball, track and field, tennis and soccer. Ron’s soccer coaching record at present is 396 wins, 135 losses, and 46 ties. Currently he is third in the state of Pennsylvania for Most Wins and second among active soccer coaches. He has won twenty-one League Championship titles in thirty-three seasons, twelve District XII Soccer Championships, and has advanced to the PIAA Quarter finals six times. He has produced twelve All-State players, eight Regional All-American players, and one All-American player. Ron was selected as the Northeast Athletic Conference Coach of the Year for the 1988-89 school year. From 1973-1980 Ron coached the Milford/Matamoras under 19 soccer teams entered in the Mid-Hudson Soccer League in New York, earning a record of 60-9-4. He won three Divisional Championships and one Mid-Hudson League Championship. Ron has served as: League Soccer Chairman since 1971 (Wayne County League, Pocono Mountain League, and the Northeast Athletic Conference); Pa. Soccer Coaches Association Advisory Member since 1973; Mid-Atlantic High School Soccer Chairman for the National Soccer Coaches Association in 1977; National Soccer Coaches Association of America executive committee member in 1978; Chairman of the Secondary Schools Committee for the National Soccer Coaches Association in 1978; District XII Girls Tennis Chairman since 1993; and District XII Boys Tennis Chairman since 1994.
