About This Inductee

Mickey Doyle was a leading contender of the world in the late 20’s and 1930 era. He fought champions in the flyweight, bantamweight, and featherweight divisions with great success. He fought Carl Tremaine, the featherweight champion of the world in a non title fight at the Wilkes-Barre Armory and knocked him out in the sixth round. Mike Bernstein said it all in his column “of all battlers big and small, I like best Mickey Doyle, the uncrowned featherweight of the world.”
