Outstanding football career at Larksville, continuing into Columbia University under the tutorship of Lou Little. Played five years of pro football with the Chicago Bears under George Hales. Had prestigious honor of playing every game while at Columbia and Chicago. John held the Columbia passing record until 1972 when it was tied . Played in two college All Star games and three championship pro games. His football career was ended at the age of 25 because of the war. John opted to continue a medical rather than a football career and is now practicing dentistry in Plymouth, PA.
