Edward Chiampi

Chiampi graduated from West Pittston High School and St Thomas College (University of Scranton) where he starred in baseball and basketball. He began a 29 year coaching career at Swoyersville High in 1935 and lead his teams to 23 North League titles, eight District 2 titles B and one Eastern District A title. Chiampi retired from coaching in 1967. In the early 1970’s he moved with his wife to Florida, where he died in 1982.
