The Christians saw a need for continuing baseball recreation and founded Teeners Little League Baseball in 1951. In 1952, the Christians were granted a charter for a non-profit organization called Teeners League Baseball, Inc. designated for players between the ages of 13 and 16. Since 1951, more than 100,000 players have participated in Teeners League Baseball. Ed retired as an insurance agent in 1976 and Marie retired from her post as bookeeper-assistant in 1985. The South Wilkes-Barre Teeners honored the Christians by naming a playing field in their behalf.
