About This Inductee

Dr. Louis Sieminski earned four letters in basketball and four letters in football while attending Swoyersville High School. He was twice named All Conference and was honorable mention All State. He received a full athletic scholarship to West Virginia University. He started as a freshman linebacker on the West Virginia football team and played three years of varsity football, while playing five different positions under coaches Jim Carlen and Booby Bowden. Dr. Sieminski earned his Masters and Ph.D. at Temple University in Philadelphia. He has practiced Audiology for over thirty years in Luzern County and has lectured nationally and internationally on hearing loss and hearing aids. Dr. Sieminski was instrumental in establishing the statewide initiative to screen all babies born for hearing loss in the State of Pennsylvania. He presently sits as an advisor to the Pennsylvania Department of Health the oversees this initiative. Presently, Dr. Sieminski resides in Shavertown with his wife Libby, who is the daughter of the late Judge Bernard Brominski. They are the parents of a son, Jason, who is a practicing attorney in Philadelphia. Dr. Sieminski is an avid golfer and plays whenever possible. He is one of five brothers inducted into the Luzern County/John Louis Popple Sports Hall of Fame.
