Bill graduated from Montrose High School in 1973.  He received his B.S. from Lock Haven University in 1978, his masters degree from Scranton in 2003.  He is currently the Superintendent of Schools in the Elk Lake School District.  Bill’s HS sports accomplishments are exemplary: soccer – league all star 1972-73, PA All State and Region basketball – he played on league and District 12 Championship teams in 1971-72, averaging 21 points his senior year, he made first team Susquehanna League All Star and Northeastern Regional All Stars in 1973; Track & Field – three years performer went to PIAA finals in 1972 running the 440.  At Lock Haven University, Bill started for four years on the soccer team.  He also was a conference all-star.  His team went on to National Semi Finals and won National Division III Championships.  Lock Haven has been in national soccer rankings since this time.  Bill’s coaching is extensive: varsity track & field, and basketball and softball at Honesdale.  He won championships, runner ups, ranked in Top 10 polls, and made several play-offs as girls’ basketball coach.  Eleven girls went on to college basketball – Heidi Robbins starting at powerhouse; University of Connecticut.  He also coached at Elk Lake, Montrose, Wallenpaupack High School’s where he had several championship teams.  His 1991-92 team at Montrose went to the state quarter finals.  He is an avid tennis player and long distance runner.  he is now training for the 2003 Scranton Half Marathon.  He lives with his wife Amy in Dimock, PA.  They have four children, Joel, Alli, Mark, and Meagan.
