About This Inductee
Bill graduated from Tunkhannock Area HS in 1968.  He received an Associate Degree in Business from Lackawanna Junior College, and has been employed at the Wyoming County Courthouse as County Administrator for the past 16 years.  Bill played basketball at Tunkhannock HS for four years, however golf was the sport in which he earned four letters and was captain his senior year.  He went to the PIAA State Championships his last two years and had his first “hole in one” there.  No area athlete had achieved that honor during the early years of HS golf.  Bill has been a member of the Shadowbrook golf club for 30 years, and has won the club championship 15 of those years.  He holds the record low score of 64 at Shadownrook.  Bill also holds another record that will be hard to beat, nine “hole in one[s]” and he is still very active.  He has won numerous championships, six time winner in the Endless Mountain Better Ball Tournament, winner at Stonehedge, three time winner at Scanton, three time Mill Race Merchants Open, 1999 Towanda Invitational, and Jackman Memorial Glenn Oaks CC winner are just a few in which he has been a winner.  The most prestigious amateur title he won was the Nationwide Pro Am Tour in Georgia in 1998.  He and his wife Carol live in Tunkhannock.  They have two children, Marcy and Michael.
