Bill grew up in Pittston and attended Seton Catholic High School where he was a three-sport MVP in soccer, basketball and baseball. In 1990, he was a member of the Greater Pittston American Legion, Wyoming Valley League Championship baseball team. In 1991, he participated in the 1991 Wyoming Valley Conference Senior All Star basketball game and the First Team All Wyoming Valley Conference in baseball and soccer. In 1994, while at Wilkes University, he was a member of their MAC Championship baseball team and was named middle Atlantic Conference Freedom League MVP. In 1994 and 1995, he was an All ECAC selection and named to the 1st team MAC Freedom League baseball team. He had a career record of 17-7 with 215 strikeouts in 195 innings and a 3.14 ERA. In 1995, Bill was a Killer Bees Award Finalist in the Open Male Division. Post college, Bill was a 37th round draft pick of the Philadelphia Phillies. In 2005, he was inducted into the Wilkes University Sports Hall of Fame. Bill and his wife Tammy met at Wilkes University in 1995, while both worked in the Sports Information Office. They married in 1999 and have two sons, Casey and Brady, ages 8 and 6. For the last 16 years Bill has been employed by Prudential Financial and is a 2004 graduate of Leadership Wilkes-Barre.
