About This Inductee
Ricky was a 1981 graduate of Lake Lehman High School. Ricky was a Junior High District Champion, two-time high school District Champion and a Regional Champion. In 1981, coached by Shorty Hitchcock, he won the PA State Championship at 112 pounds.
He continued his education at Bloomsburg University where he was a three-time PSAC Champion, three-time EWL Champion and three-time NCAA Division I National Champion at 118 pounds.  He was named PSAC Wrestler of the Year in 1985,’86, and ’87. He was also named Outstanding Wrestler by the EWL in 1986 and 1987. Ricky remains number three on the all-time Huskies wins list boasting a .886 winning percentage and a record of 116-12-3. Ricky also won numerous AAU titles.
Ricky was inducted into the PA Wrestling Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 1993. He was inducted into the Bloomsburg University Hall of Fame in 1999. In 2008. Ricky was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame as a distinguished member in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Ricky resides in Harrisburg with his wife Tanya and children: Nate, Noah and Tessa.
