Linda graduated from Wilkes-Barre’s J.M. Coughlin High School in 1973, where she participated in field hockey four years and track and field two years. She was the softball throw champ and receives the Thomas A. Evans Female Athlete Award in 1973 (an award her daughter also received in the year 2000). Lind has coached South Wilkes-Barre Girls Softball for seven years, where she was also a league officer. She also coached soccer in the Wyoming Valley Soccer League at the C.Y.C. and Penn State Campus. She played Wilkes-Barre City and Pittston softball for thirty years winning numerous division titles. She played in the Wilkes-Barre City Volleyball league, Thirty Club Bowling League, where she was city champ runner-up in 1978. She played on the Wyoming Valley Field Hockey Club team. She is a member of the Wyoming Valley Field Hockey Officials also being a league officer. She has officiated field hockey for thirty-two years at the collegiate, high school and junior high levels participating in four State finals and numerous tournaments. With her daughters, she has also coached pitchers for fast pitch softball at the elementary school level. Linda is presently employed in the Wilkes-Barre Area School District as an educational support professional where she has worked for thirty-two years in administration, secondary and elementary. Linda and her husband Richard reside in Wilkes-Barre with their two daughters, Jamie and Jill.
