About This Inductee

Dr. Jeffrey Craig Jr., a proud 2003 graduate of Bishop Hoban High School, made a lasting impact both on the field and in the classroom. A standout athlete, he earned Wyoming Valley Conference All-Star honors three times (2001, 2002, 2003) and was named the conference MVP in 2002. His leadership and talent were instrumental in guiding Bishop Hoban to three Wyoming Valley Conference titles and securing two district championships in 2002 and 2003.

Determined to continue his academic and athletic career, Jeff attended Kutztown University, where he played a key role in the success of the Golden Bears baseball program. During his time at Kutztown, he was part of three Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) championship teams and a Mid-Atlantic Region championship team, earning the prestigious opportunity to compete in the 2007 NCAA Division II College World Series.
His dedication and performance did not go unnoticed, as he was named a PSAC All-Star for three consecutive seasons (2005, 2006, 2007). His senior year was particularly distinguished, as he was recognized as the Kutztown University Scholar-Athlete of the Year and earned ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American honors.
Jeff’s legacy at Kutztown remains firmly established in the record books. He ranks sixth all-time in career batting average (.367), fourth in career hits (211), sixth in career RBIs (136), fourth in career doubles (48), and seventh in career home runs (17). His name is also scattered throughout the university’s top ten single-season records, a testament to his consistent excellence on the field.
Now residing in Shavertown, Pennsylvania, Jeff’s life is centered around his family and community. He and his wife, Kate, are the proud parents of four children, Colin and Cameron, and daughters Claire and Charlotte. In his professional life, Jeff serves as the Director of Special Education for the Tunkhannock Area School District, where he is dedicated to ensuring that students with diverse needs receive the support and opportunities they deserve. His passion for education and commitment to his students reflect the same drive and determination that defined his athletic career.
