Jean Lipski

Jean was a four-year starter for the Lake Lehman Field Hockey program. She also started four years for the Wilkes College Varsity Field Hockey program. While at Wilkes, she was the first field hockey player from out area to qualify for the Mideast Filed Hockey Team (1975). From 1978-1980 she played with our area’s travel hockey team. From 1980-1982 she coached Lake Lehman’s Junior High Field Hockey program and from 1983 to present, she has coached Lake Lehman’s Senior High Field Hockey program. They were Wyoming Valley Conference Champions in 1986, 1996, 1999, 2000 and 2003. Her teams were District II AA champions six times (1984, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, and 1999) and Pennsylvania AA State Champions in 1996 and 2002. Her record is 363-77-24. She has coached 22 first team AA All-State players and a two-time first team National player, two second team players and one honorable mention player. Jean is married to Phil Lipski (the wrestling coach at Lake Lehman High School) and resides in the Lehman area. They have two daughters, Lauren and Jaime, and a son Michael.
