Jack resides in Clarion, with his wife Jackie and children Rocky (19) and Scott ( 14). He graduated from Lake Lehman in 1970. He continued his education at Clarion, graduated in 1974 and went on to receive his masters degree from Indiana State in 1975. Jack’s high school athletic record is four-year letterman in wrestling with a 33-1 record his senior year. He was a three-year letterman in baseball and two-year letterman in football. His college athletic record shows he earned three letters in wrestling and was injured during his junior year. He was runner up in PSAC, and third in Eastern Regionals in Cincinnati. Jack is an assistant professor in Health and P.E, and was an assistant head recruiter in wrestling at Clarion from 1976-1992. His top recruit, Kurt Angle, became an Olympic World Champion. Clarion won 8 PSAC team titles and one EWL title. They have 19 All-American and 8 top NCAA Division I tournament finishes. Jack was hired as head wrestling coach in 1992 His accomplishments from 1993 to 1997 were numerous and included: four top 15 NCAA Division 1 tournament finishes, one Division 1 National Championship, eight Division 1 All-American, two EWL team championships, one PSAC championship. 16 PSAC individual champions. 11 EWL individual champions. and in 1994-95 dual ranking – 3rd in the nation. In 1995-% Jack was named EWL coach of the year. PSU coach of the year and first in the Eastern mat poll. He has many more accomplishments such as team and individual champions too numerous to fill this page. He directed annual coaching clinics and directed wrestling camps for thousands of athletes and coaches.
