About This Inductee

Cathy. a graduate from Wyalusing High School, was an all-star in three sports: basketball, track and volleyball. She took her basketball team to numerous championships and in track & field she captured a state title in the long lump at 17′ 7.5″ in 1974. She also established a Wyalusing record in the 220 event with a score of 17.7. a record that still stands today. As a basketball player in high school, she scored an average of 30 points per game. In 1974, Cathy was the first female to be awarded athlete of the year. Besides sports, Cathy participated in cheerleading and served as a wrestling manager. Upon graduation, Cathy attended the Pennsylvania State University where the played basketball and track. While at PSU she was a guard on the basketball team under Pat Myers and competed in Nationals on the 4x100m relay team. Currently, Cathy resides in Reno, Nevada. She is married to Christopher Gorham and has two children, Jamin and Jackson. She is presently teaching science at Billinghurst Middle School while working on her masters degree in Educational Leadership. Cathy also coaches 7th and 8th grade basketball and track.
