Frank played four years of basketball at West Side (Kingston) Central Catholic High School, 1964 league runner-ups, 1965 league champions and 4th place PICAA State Champions. In track and field, he participated in the mile, 2 mile and javelin. At West Chester University, Frank played 4 years of football, three-time PSCAC league champions. They appeared in two Tangerine Bowls and won the Lambert trophy in 1967. Frank also wrestled for two years. Since 1970, Frank has been a teacher/coach for Wyoming Valley West School District. He was assistant football coach for 12 years, one year at Bishop Hoban and 11 at Valley West. The 1982 team were league champions. Frank was assistant wrestling coach 5 years and district champions; the girls 10 team and district championships. He has also coached water polo since 1991, the girls winning two division championships and one state championship. The boys won 4 division and 4 sixth place State Championships Frank has also been boys swimming and diving coach since 1970, winning 11 league and 12 district championships. Girls swimming and diving coach since 1993, they won 4 league and 12 district championships. In USA swimming since 1980, he has had 4 junior national qualifiers, 2 senior national qualifiers, and one Olympic trial qualifier. A Wilkes-Barre resident, Frank is married to the former Sharon McHale. They have two children: Tracey and Kristen (Tribendis) O’Sullivan.
