About This Inductee

David was a four-year started on Meyers High School’s wrestling team. He was a member of three Wyoming Valley Conference Championships teams and two District II Championship teams. He was two-time District II Champion in 1984 and 1985. He placed third in States in 1985 and won the George Hooper Award that year. He is a member of Meyers’ Wrestling Century Club with 100 career victories. Dave went on to wrestle for King’s College where he completed two undefeated dual seasons, with a 65 match regular season win streak. He was an N.C.A.A. Qualifier and Middle Atlantic Conference Wrestling Champion three times. Dave is a member of King’s College Wrestling Wall of Fame and a 1989 Killer Bee’s Athletic Club Athlete of the Year finalist. Dave has wrestled in Russia as part of a Division III College All-Star Team. Dave has been head wrestling coach at Meyers High School for 8 years. He has coached five Wyoming Valley Conference Championship teams, three District II Dual Meet Championship teams, and one District II championship team. He has 115 coaching victories and has coached 23 District champions and 6 State place winners. He was named District victories as a wrestler as well as coach. Currently a learning support teacher at Meyers High School, he resides in Hanover Township with his wife Susan and son Matt, age 10.
