Chris Mayerski grew up in Swoyersville, PA. From an early age it was clear that he had a special love for the game of baseball. From sleeping in his T-ball uniform the night before a game to help Swoyersville Little League win many different tournaments through the years with his pitching and power, Chris was on a direct path to a successful baseball career.

Chris attended Wyoming Valley West High School where he lettered in varsity baseball for three years and went on to become a 2-time Wyoming Valley Conference All-Star. His high school career culminated with being named the MVP of the Wyoming Valley Conference vs Lackawanna League All-Star Game in 2004.

Chris continued his baseball career while attending Wilkes University. As a member of the Wilkes University Colonels baseball team, he rewrote the record books. Chris was a key member on the 2007 Wilkes University Baseball team that won the MAC Freedom Conference Championship and qualified for the NCAA Division III tournament. At Wilkes, Chris was a 4-time MAC Freedom All-Conference Selection from 2005-2008. In 2006 he earned an ABCA Mid-Atlantic All Region selection and was named the NCBWA National Division III Hitter of the Week in April 2006. In 2006 he finished the season ranked 10th in the nation for Slugging Percentage (.786) and 14th in the nation for Home Runs per game. In addition to the on-field accolades Chris was also team captain in 2007 and 2008 and earned MASCAC Academic Honor Roll in all 3 years of eligibility (2006-2008). After finishing his historic playing career at Wilkes, he went on to coach at Wilkes in 2009 and 2010 and was a part of the coaching staff for the team that recorded the Most Wins (29) in a season in 2009.

Chris was inducted into the Wilkes University Hall of Fame in 2019. Chris resides in Dallas, PA with his beautiful wife Kelly and their 2 sons, CJ and Luke.
