Carl graduated from Lake Lehman High School in 1970. He was letter winner in four sports: football, basketball, baseball and track.
He was all-conference Sunday Independent in football Carl continued his education at Ohio State University with a BS. in Natural Resources. He played football for 4 year at Ohio State under Woody Hayes. During that time he played in two Rose Bowl games (1973-1974). One such game was seen by more than 100,000 people record of that time).
He signed with the Memphis South Team in the Old WFL Also played with the semi pro football team Wilkes-Barre Bullets.
He was an assistant football coach at Berwick in the late 70’s to the early 80’s. He also did some coaching at Lake Lehman.
He resides in Lehman with his wife, Eva. They have four children: Jeanne, Melissa, Danielle and Kimberly.
