About This Inductee

Stanley attended St. Stephen’s and St. Vincent’s High Schools in Plymouth, transferring to Plymouth High School in 1958 for his senior year. He played on the first Little League team ever organized in Plymouth. In high school, he played on the varsity baseball team at St. Vincent’s and Plymouth High. However, basketball is where Stanley really excelled. He played basketball at St. Vincent’s and was on the State Championship team in his junior year. He also played basketball at Plymouth High in his senior year. After discharge from the US Army, he graduated from King’s College. Stanley coached and managed two different teams for nine years in the Plymouth Little League and later coached Teeners’ League ball. He also coached American Legion baseball. Stanley, former mayor of Plymouth, passed away in 2001 and is survived by his wife, the former Dorothy Novak. They have three children: Stanley, John, and Erin. They also have a grandson Matthew.
