Stacie Miscavage

About This Inductee

In grade school, Stacie ran track and competed in basketball and soccer. In high school at Bishop Hoban, Stacie was a part of the District Championship basketball team ’93-’94, and ’94-’95. She lettered 4 years and won the Offensive Player Award three times. She was named WVCGBA, Citizens Voice and Times Leader first team All-Star four years and won the WVCGBA MVP in the ’95-’96 season. Stacie was awarded the senior Scholar Athlete Award and was a member of the prestigious 1,000 point club, 1,250 point club, and the 1,000 rebound club. She was Hoban’s all-time leading scorer from 1996-2000. In PA State Class AAA, the team took second place. In track, Stacie won first place in the high jump at the Tunkhannock relays. Stacie won a basketball scholarship to Kutztown University, where she lettered four years, graduating in 2000. The team participated in four consecutive PSAC playoffs. The team had the most single season wins at 21. Stacie was team captain her senior year and received the Dean’s Scholarship Award, Scholar Athlete Award and the Dr. Daeufer Athletic Scholarship for excelling in athletics and teaching. Stacie was also an AAU player for the Anthracite Action, Pocono Keystone State basketball champions, Triple Crown Champion 3-on-3 in Denver, Colorado. She has coached Pittston Area 7th grade girls’ basketball, was assistant coach of varsity and JV at Bishop Hoban, and is currently junior varsity head coach and assistant varsity at Hoban. She is also first grade teacher in Crestwood School District.
