About This Inductee

Rosalyn is the daughter of proud parents Frank and Roseanne Wentko, and is a 2004 graduate from Dallas High School where she was a three-sport stand-out receiving four letters in basketball, four in soccer and three in field hockey. During her time on the court, the Dallas girls won the Wyoming Valley Conference Division II Championship in 2002 and 2004 and the District II Class 3A Championship in 2003. Racking up a career total of 1,165 total points, Rosalyn was named a Wyoming Valley Conference All-Star in 2002, 2003 and 2004. In 2004, she was named League MVP and received the Sportsmanship Award during the 2004 Senior All-Star game.
As a three-year starter in goal for the Mountaineers Field Hockey team, she was named Defensive MVP as a sophomore and junior and was named team MVP after posting a .889 save percentage and 1.80 goals against average as a senior. Roz was named to the Wyoming Valley Conference All-Scholastic Team as a junior and senior.
Following graduation from Dallas, Roz received an athletic scholarship to Rutgers University where she would continue her career in goal for the Scarlet Knights field hockey team. She would go on to earn 3 letters on the banks and was named team captain for the ’06 season. Roz would also receive multiple Big East Honor Roll nods that same year. In 2007, she ranked in the top 10 in Division I in goals against average and save percentage as a senior for the Scarlet Knights. Rosalyn closed out her playing career at RU ranking 6th all-time in career saves with 313 and 9th all time in goals against average at 2.5. After graduating from Rutgers, Rosalyn attended East Stroudsburg University where she was the assistant coach for the Warriors Field Hockey team while studying towards her master’s degree which she would achieve in 2009. She then attended St. Luke’s School of Nursing and has worked in the emergency department and cardiac catheterization lab with St. Luke’s for majority of her nursing career. Rosalyn and her husband Joseph married in 2015 and together they share a life focused on love, family, friends, and fun. They currently reside in Saylorsburg, PA where they are raising their two amazing sons, Aaron and Michael.
