Frank graduated from G.A.R. Memorial High School where he played football four years (3 letters). He was named All Scholastic and Honorable Mention All-State in 1960 and was named to the 1960 UNICO All Star team. He also lettered four years in basketball and was All Scholastic in 1960. He lettered four years in baseball and was named to the Times Leader All Star Team in 1959-1960. Frank continued his football career at Mansfield University, playing three years. Frank went on to play semi pro baseball for eight years with the Ashley A’s and Mayflower, winning the Wyoming Valley Championship four times. Frank coached football at G.A.R. Memorial High School 1961-1962, Meyers High School 1963-1964 and Crestwood High School 1965-1968. Frank retired in 2005, he and his wife Jean moved to Florida. A very civic-minded and charitable man, Frank was a past member of the Knights of Columbus, Wilkes Barre Rotary and the Wilkes Barre Chapter of UNICO International. Not only did he serve as president of Unico but was one of only a few who also played in the UNICO East West Classic football game in his youth. Frank passed away in February 2022 leaving behind his wife Jean and children: Dr. Anthony C. Egidio, Frank Egidio, Jr., Michelle Oko, Megan Clark and Kevin Clark.
