About This Inductee

Christina is a 1994 graduate of James M. Coughlin High School and Bloomsburg University, class of 1997. While at Coughlin, she earned ten athletic varsity letters: four in soccer, three in basketball, two in volleyball and one in field hockey. While playing soccer, she was the first female selected as All-Scholastic four years in a row. As team captain in 1994, they won their first District II girls’ soccer title. She was winner of the Thomas A. Evans Outstanding Girl Athlete Award and was PIAA District II Female Scholar & Athlete from Coughlin in 1994. She participated in the World Scholar Athlete Games in 1993 at the University of Rhode Island, participated in the NAS Cup Soccer Classic in 1994, was selected to represent the Pocono Region girls’ soccer team at the Keystone State Games four years, receiving two medals, and was a member of the Northeast Attack Select Girls’ Soccer team. She also was the winner of the Ray A. Kroc Youth Achievement Award, a member of the Senior National Honor Society and received an academic scholarship to Bloomsburg University where she completed her education in three and one half years. Christina is the daughter of Francis (Yogi) and Marie Michael, and is married to Kevin Nordmark. They have two children: Samantha 4 and Kurtis 2. She is currently employed by the Wilkes-Barre Area School District as a math teacher at G.A.R. High School.
