Chet graduated from St. Nicholas High School in 1967 where he earned four letters in basketball and three in baseball; he was named first team All-Star in his senior year. In 1971, he graduated from King’s College with a B.A. in Math. Presently employed at Bishop Hoban High School, Chet is chairman of the math department and coach of boys’ varsity basketball. As of January 2004, Chet has coached basketball for 32 continuous years, accumulating 516 wins. His teams have won five Wyoming Valley Conference championships, five P.I.A.A. District 2 championships, and appeared in the State semifinal tournament three times, and the State Quarterfinals four times. Chet was named Wyoming Valley Coach of the Year five times and received the P.I.A.A. Officials Sportsmanship Award four times. He twice received Honorable Mention as the Sunday Independent Coach of the Year and twice P.I.A.A. Honorable Mention State Coach of the Year. His teams have also won over 25 high school tournaments. Chet resides in West Pittston with his wife Donna and children: Jennifer, Carolyn, Christopher and Matthew.
