About This Inductee

Bob quarterbacked Meyers High School’s undefeated football team in 1974. He was named Sunday Independent All-Scholastic 1973-1974, All-Scholastic honorable mention 1973-1974, Prep All-American 1974, and Big 33 Honorable mention 1974. A four-time MVP, Bob holds Meyers High School records for touchdown passes in single season (22), career touchdown passes (48), most touchdown passes in a game (5), and most passing yards in a career (3,210). He was selected as one of the Top 100 backs in the nation in 1974 by Kick-Off Magazine. Bob also won two District 2 first place awards in track and field and was part of Meyers’ 1974 district champion basketball team. He was awarded a full football scholarship to Villanova University, where he played defensive back and quarterback. Bob won the Villanova University Football Scholar Athlete Award in 1979. He is an active member of the university’s Varsity Club. While attending law school at Villanova, Bob was a graduate assistant football coach for the 1980 season. Bob was also a high school football radio analyst, along with broadcaster Joe Gries, on WQARD radio from 1984 to 1992. A practicing attorney (24 years) and local business owner, Bob and his wife Maurita reside in the Dallas area.
